A couple of shots from Epping Forest last Sunday.
v1 - I was playing with levels and curves and quite liked the effect.
v2 - a similar shot but from a reverse angle, sadly without the bench, and as it should look re WB.
A bit of a shock for the system after the heat of Australia but just as beautiful.
Normal Oz service will resume after this short break.
Have a peaceful Sunday, Dave
Great shots. V2 for me.
Two beautiful snow scenes, Dave, V.2 getting my vote today. Carol
Nice to see you slipping back into your comfy zone again, big time .....cold, wet, windy and Britain. Leave the heat, bikinis, sunshine and strange customs to those that deserve them...convicts etc !
Two wonderful images, but V2 's a stunner.
Beautiful and well composed image,
A beautiful pair of images Dave and I love the work you have done in V1 but its V2 for me too. Thanks too for all your recent comments.
Love them both, I used to go there often to play when I was a child.
V2 is stunning, great composition - Carole
looks a wee bit chilly nice images
I really like the composition of these two wintery images, Dave.
I didn't think this was your's, not being sun, sea, sand and girls in itsy bitsy bikini's (notice I didn't say Yellow Polka Dot, that would be showing my age). So you've finally plucked up courage to brave the British weather and come up with a good image (as usual). Works well Dave especially with the wonkey donkey bench.
not the weather to find any bikini babes but both great scenes, and as you say the w/b in v2 is superb as is the composition.
nice one, ant.
Love them both Dave but I think V2 just pips the post.
Prefer ver 2 Dave but both are lovely scenes.
A couple of lovely winter scenes - ver 1 is stunning!
Two cracking shots
V2 is my favourite. I find my eye is drawn to the reddish browns of the leaves, which in V2 works rather well due to their placement but in V1 takes the eye almost out the image.
Two very nicely composed winter snow images, V 2 my favourite, Dave.
V2 for me too, lovely shots!
Two excellent captures Dave with great processing, I do like them both.
Both lovely captures
I like V2 even more. Both lovely though..............Sandy
How absolutely beautiful - v2 for me too Dave!
Okay I am in the minority here but I love the turquoise hue in V1....... That is my favorite.
Like V1 too and there is more distance to it...... But it is nice to play
Can't decide, both are lovely.
2 cracking shots which both have their merit, like the turquoise hues in V1 & the comp in V 2 is excellent.. Both exude coldness..Great work
lovely winter scene and well composed shots Dave, v2 for me.
Two beautiful captures, of which I chose v2 as my favourite today. Superbly composed image, well captured the snow.
Two great shots here Dave
and going for V2
Two beauties here! Well captured!
V1 is almost like a fairy tale but V2 is magical the snow being the right colour and very wintry
Hi Dave love them both regards gray
v2 for me Dave - more natural. The ice on the pond in v1 looks a little blown to me.
Two beautiful shots Dave. V2 for me it leads you into the scene with move detail. Well done. WesternRed.
Great captures Dave, hard to decide which view as they are both intriguing.
No foot prints except for the birds, well done…….Jocelia
Both beautiful but I prefer V2 just by a smidgen.
V1 for me, lovely shot.
2 beautiful shots Dave and really like the effect in V1. Moira
version 2 for me the snow has the good white punch in that one
Two super shots.
V2 my fave.
no 2 for me as well, a fine composition and lovely tones
wow this is great, and thank you for the welcome back
Ohhh...niiice. I find V2 completely breathtaking and what I would call calendar worthy.
Dave, must admit v1 is nice but v2 for me as it has that ghostly appeal. As above has that picture post card touch to it. Regards Russell
Back to UK weather then? Hope you had a great trip. Like V1 the best for the contrast between trunk of the tree and snow. Nice one Dave. Paul
Both super shots, but V1 is very exceptional as compo, colour and all!
This is my stamping ground, didn't manage to get out this year in the snow, but loved your picture, hope you enjoy it when you are back, I assume Australia.
