Holly Holy Day, commemorating the vicious & bloody civil war Battle of Nantwich in 1644.

Always the Sealed Knot's first battle of the year - and usually held in appalling weather! The weather this year was thankfully clear & sunny, but as always the drifting smoke from the cannon & muskets ruined many a photo opportunity!!

I took some shots into the sun through the smoke and got some "interesting" results. I see you've managed to get an angle without any of the modern buildings in the background too.
