Taken whilst on a photographic recce with the Bolemeister (Bolebrown). This a stretch of the Kennett and Avon canal at Honey Street. Needless to say the photo expedition was not very successful.
Thanks for looking.

A pleasing image, my thoughts to alter it.
It would be nice to have a bit more sky over the house, it looks a bit trapped. Also you could clone out the bits of tree/bush just creeping into the cloud at the right. My last temptation would be to select the water and see if I could make it a bit less murky by playing with the Hue & saturation or levels.

Some wonderful bright colours to this lovely peaceful scene.
Fantastic reflections.

the reflections of the the house are superb !!!
Thank you for you kind words..
Nikki !
Nice shapes in the reflections of the brickwork here Matt.

Even accepting the strictures above this has a lot going for it, Matt. The stray branches are easily disposed of; they don't distract wildly from the composition (good perspective) or the colour composition (the red barge balancing the much larger but muted building). But overall it's the tranquillity that counts.
Regards
Bill
I do agree that this needs a bit more sky but only a tiny amount, the interest here for me is the way the reflection and the canal bank draw the eye down, and then diagonally across. Height is less important.

Thanks for your comments Guys, I can see your point about the house being crammed in, as for the murky water it was my intention to leave it that way I think nice clear water in a canal would just look wrong. Thanks again for your suggestions they are as always much appreciated.

Nice cheery colourful view Matt, not too far from home either!
Andrew
Great perspective and loads of interesting things to see. Is that the real name of the street?

Lovely scene Matt, and looking at this your recce couldn't have been a total loss!

Another great one Matt, I love the double chimney breast on the house, in all a very pastoral and quintessential english image. helen x
Looks like a painting on the wall Matt. Very well done.

A beautiful and idyllic canalside scene Matt, lovely colours, composition and reflections.
