Thank you for all the comments and votes on my Bird yesterday. Your response was awesome.

A rare visitor to our shores John so this is quite an exotic bird for us. Superbly captured and a great pose.

Excellent John. The colours are amazing in this beautiful bird. That lens is a sharp'un, isn't it?Smile I had the 600D just before I got the Olympus E-M5. I've used Nikon, Pentax, Canon, and Olympus, mainly for nature photography. I used the Canon 70-200mm f4 on the 600D, a nice combo.

Just for your info, I use the Olympus E-M5 with the Panasonic 100-300mm (200-600mm 35mm equiv.), at a total cost of $1500.00, and the 5-axis image stabilising system in the camera body is outstanding. That's not to denegrate your kit, your results prove you know what you're doing.Smile

Cheers,
Denny

A superb image, John.
The Hoopoe is a bird not often seen in the uk,
but I have been fortunate to see them along with Rollers in
the Canary Islands.

The composition is very good, John, the diagonal branch, and over-the-shoulder pose makes a fine image.
