That looks interesting over there!
Thanks for so many comments and clicks on the Great Tit, and glad he was enjoyed by most...very difficult that new lens, need to build up the muscles more, maybe another trip to Arundel.
Let me know what you think of this Barn Owl from BWC last year.

What a beautiful looking bird ...
A wonderful capture Lillian
Quote: A beautiful image, Lillian, just a touch over-exposed on the white of his lower right leg. Carol
Agree with comment but birds do not wait for you to check histogram, when shooting birds the highlights blow out so I shoot every time one stop under exposure if bright light as much as 2 stops, you can bring back shadow detail but not blown highlights, about the Owl excellent shot!

Trev.

Excellent shot, Lillian: interesting to read the remarks from Trev. Seems like very good advice, and I shall keep it in minf too when shooting light coloured or white flowers. Interestingly, I always set my two Nikons to -0.33 Exposure Bias as my personal default settings.

A really nice shot Lillian. Looks a tad soft, - likely due to the slightly oversone whites.
Loaded a mod with highlights toned down; sharpened; increased eye detail; re composed on thirds. I also cloned out that little spot of blue on his leg from the band.
Hope you like this,
Regards
Willie

A lovely shot of this gorgeous barn owl - agree with Willie on it being slightly soft and over exposure on parts of the whites - and I still do it myself - until someone told me to set it under by a least 1/3 of stop - some good advice too by Trev - I shall have to think about that next time. Like the mod by Willie too
