That looks interesting over there!
Thanks for so many comments and clicks on the Great Tit, and glad he was enjoyed by most...very difficult that new lens, need to build up the muscles more, maybe another trip to Arundel.
Let me know what you think of this Barn Owl from BWC last year.

Hi Lillian, don't know if it's my eyes or not but this doesn't seem as sharp as your usual standard. Great capture nonetheless.
Absolutely gorgeous Lillian. So soft and cuddly looking. Looking right at you here. Great shot. Moira
What a beautiful looking bird ...
A wonderful capture Lillian
Beautiful Lillian. Great shot. Love the expression.!!
It's gorgeous albeit not as sharp as your usual uploads.
A beautiful barnowl portrait
Beautiful capture Lillian, lovely eye contact of this beauty.
A beautiful hooter!
A beautiful image, Lillian, just a touch over-exposed on the white of his lower right leg. Carol
love this one a great shot
Wonderful portrait of the Barn Owl Lillian. Excellent.
wonderful work Lillian, the eyes are like deep pools, so dark and mirror like
Just love that expression, and those eyes - so beautiful.

Agree with comment but birds do not wait for you to check histogram, when shooting birds the highlights blow out so I shoot every time one stop under exposure if bright light as much as 2 stops, you can bring back shadow detail but not blown highlights, about the Owl excellent shot!
Lovely shot Lillian, I remember it well; looking long, sleek and refined and with that great twinkle in its eye
Nobody here cept us chickens ! - lovely pic Lillian...Bill
Super capture Lillian. I always think that their markings resemble little pearl drops - they are beautiful owls.
My most favourite type of Owl. Love the brightness you've captured in those eyes.
A very nice owl capture.
Top notch capture of my favourite bird you have done it proud
gorgeous is this Milo
A great capture Lillian!!! Nice crop and nicely posed for you!!! X x
Excellent shot, Lillian: interesting to read the remarks from Trev. Seems like very good advice, and I shall keep it in minf too when shooting light coloured or white flowers. Interestingly, I always set my two Nikons to -0.33 Exposure Bias as my personal default settings.
Excellent capture Lillian, great detail and colour.. thanks for the pointer on the dogs eyes.. Peter
Couldn't be a more perfect photo - just stunning. The detail is breathtaking.
What a handsome Barney! They have such lovely expressions owls. Those big lenses do make you get some muscles, mines the same, aches in places you didn't know you had!
A really nice shot Lillian. Looks a tad soft, - likely due to the slightly oversone whites.
Loaded a mod with highlights toned down; sharpened; increased eye detail; re composed on thirds. I also cloned out that little spot of blue on his leg from the band.
Hope you like this,
A lovely picture Lillian.
Excellent capture,well taken too,
A beautiful addition to your wildlife collection Lillian, I hope all is well with you and yours. - gary
You can't fail to like it Lillian with a face like this !!
A cracking capture, Lillian, just wonderful.
A lovely shot of this gorgeous barn owl - agree with Willie on it being slightly soft and over exposure on parts of the whites - and I still do it myself - until someone told me to set it under by a least 1/3 of stop - some good advice too by Trev - I shall have to think about that next time. Like the mod by Willie too
Hi Lillian super capture regards gray.
Thank you all so much for all the encouraging comments and to Willie for the mod, (had not even noticed the blue on the leg...sadly!)another great mod done thankyou, and I will remember about the stop/s down
