i like the perspective of this, with the other horse clearly recognisable, all comments welcome.

I like the idea and understand the concept you are putting over, the horses eye is nice and sharp, and the second horse nicely out of focus but , as you say recognisable. But, I feel it is overpowering the shot. Rather than have it fill 2/3rds of the frame it really only needs to fill 1/3rd of the frame, (rule of thirds). I feel, this would give both space and room for the second horse to be the subject of the viewers eye, which is the intension?
