New Forest Pony having a drink in a small pond. I was actually quite impressed with the depth of the water for such a small pond.

Excellent shot,well taken.
I like that Miles, I love the way he is kissing his reflection or is he just admiring his looks. Made me smile.
Lovely colouring also.
Like it,well taken
Love the composition and colours Miles.
A new Forrest postcard Miles.
Nice detail and positioning Miles.
What a beautiful capture lovely comp lynex
Lovely, just lovely. So tempting to zoom right in on the pony, nice to see some of his "habitat"!!
A beauty!! simple & clean composition. Nice image.
Nice comp, Miles, and I like the reflections in the water.
Composition is spot on Miles!
Clear detail and warm lighting in a beautiful and peaceful shot. Great work.
what a peaceful shot,if i'd do anthing with this shot,i'd make several copies and keep them safe
Love this Miles. Up to your knees in it lol. Makes it nice it going in so deep otherwise the head would be in the usual low down position. John
Simple and effective, excellent composition.
What a great photo, love it
very good capture, excellent composition and exposure
Really nice Miles, great shot. One comment though, can I see the end line of grad filter used just on the far bank? Nice one. Chris
Great shot, love the colours. I saw the prog on tele on Sunday about the New Forest on BBC2 and that inspired me to visit there this year, so does this image.

How do you know that this wasn't a short legged pony ???
Sorry Miles !
This is a beautiful natural image, I could easily see this imae promoting the new forest.
Wow - fantastic! S
Fantastic shot. It looks really pure, no messy background or interruptions from the focal point. Excellent work. I like the crop you've chosen too.
Thanks for all the comments.
Lol@Andy...you could be right!
Chris, no filters used in this shot, but I did add a slight (20%) grey gradient at the bottom to darken the water a little between the bottom border and the reflection.
Image is pretty much as it is, I've cropped a little off the top and the bottom to lengthen it a little, and I did play with levels, saturation, bright/contrast, as is usual for RAW images to polish them up.
Sorry Ian, don't really like your version of it, I wanted the space in front of the horse to give a sense of open space, whereas your version is too enclosed, and highlights are burnt out. Thanks for having a go though.
I can understand how you got it there but how did you make it drink?
A cracking shot Miles,i am hoping to get down that way on sunday weather permiting. What do i need to bring to bribe the pony to do that for me lol.
Beautiful composition, very peaceful & absolutely no distraction from the subject.
Quite a nice shot Miles, I sure hope you weren't standing in the pond as well.
I didn't notice you'd posted this here - thanks for sharing it!
