The first tourists have arrived at the feeder! The locals don't really approve, but I was well pleased to see my first ever brambling. He has moved on, though.
hint for Norvegian tourists the word for beechnut is faîne the tree is hêtre ![]()

many thanks for your friendly comments regarding the rust and your kind words. Will be off for a long trip soon ... 12 hours drive to help my mum with her grief and clearing up.

We've had Bramblings at our feeders over the past few weeks. Aren't they such attractive little birds? I always look forward to their arrival. How nice getting the little "native" in as well! Makes a lovely image altogether. Take care. I am sure it will be a huge help to your Mum having you around.
Ann
Well captured Annette, not seen one here yet but I don't think it will be
too long before I do.
By the way thank you for you UA the other day, much appreciated.
Colin
What a lovely shot with the visitor and the native in the same shot.
I wish you well with the trip and with helping your mum and I know what you mean about this site lifting your spirits.

A beauty Annette, you are so lucky to have one visiting, haven't seen one in ages and high on my wishlist,
Geoff.
I have never seen a brambling Annette, but it's a lovely capture with the other bird in the background.

I'll go with the Norwegian bøk ![]()
Two for the price of one - great image. Why don't the locals approve of "tourists"?
Johanna
The tits and the bolshy nuthatch think that the greaseball and the peanuts are only for them. I have seen 4-6 great tits seeing off the nuthatch!
Johanna, I promise to uplad another one to that effect later!
Spot-on dof, Annette.
Very useful translation for the Norske besøkende![]()

I'm unfamiliar with this pretty bird. Well captured. Like the echo with the bluetit.
