This very tiny flower of the HOYA plant stunned me when I noticed how the centre of it looked like plastic and the the outer part like fleece.

Nice and effective use of wide aperture to concentrate the eye on that centre of the bloom: and a flower that's totally new to me too, Pam.
Nice one.
Ronnie.

Beautiful specimen - never heard of it before.
When i saw title I thought filter!
Very well captured.
I'd never think to use a wide angle to capture flowers using either
a macro lens or zooming in.
Could Ronnie explain a bit more I wonder?

Hello Kate,

All I used with this image was a Nikon E995 macro. It is one of my favourite cameras for macro. Even though I have SLR's macro lenses this little favourite of mine does me proud. I purchased this camera about ten years ago - my first digital and I love it !! For macro of course.GrinGrin I will, tomorrow, post a group of these little flowers which is obviously from the plant HOYA. The smell that it gives out when the nectar drops is incredible ! Look it up on the internet.
