A shot straight out of the new Olympus E3 that I took while on a one day trial. It was taken on manual exposure, using the built in flash set at -3 to trigger the wireless flash pointing in from the right.

The bright point of light is distracting, nice exposure though. Have you got to be a memer to get into this club ?? - do EPZ members get a discount ??
How has the new E3 stood up to the Pete test ?.

I like the rich colours and patterns, and the effect of the light on the whole image, but don't like seeing that light/flash.

good one. particularly like that mix of blue light and smoke. Looks very saturated for a straight out of the camera shot.
Did you happen to test out the swivelscreen and live view ?

Currently use the E-500 and waiting eagerly for this to appear in the shops. I wonder about the weight though, it is almost twice the weight of the E-500 and maybe this would prove too heavy for me to use for my usual street and grab work.

I would like to see this image without the bloke in it, his modern clothes, watch etc irk me somewhat, but the carpets and hooka are atmospheric, great sharp shot tho' and the light catching the smoke is great, was it a good camera, what a location to try it...jojo

Great use of the remote flash to backlight and capture the motion of the smoke. And no need for any post processing to liven up the colours in this, looks like the Olympus captures them all well enough.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! .....

quality

did he think he was on a magic carpet after puffing on that lol, I like the colours the lighting on the smoke is good as well.

Steve.

The photo having a slight tilt to the left gives it a more dynamic feel. Smoke well captured. The guys looks not quite there, well, maybe it's clear why. Cheers, Bert
