A nice shot. However I would try removing the 2 post's behind and to the right of the tail, also what looks like the tow bar atached to the tail wheel, the railings and the alley step ladder !. I know that this sounds negative, but would help give a better war time background.

Dont go ott with the film grain, a shoot like that would have been shot with a large format camera, imho. but try increasing the contrast and give it a small amount of sepia.
