Todays image was taken in the Hippy Market in Ibiza, and a little story behind it, the stall was selling really cheap stuff, T shirts abd linen trousers for two Euro's, and after purchasing a couple of shirts I spotted this great poster on the wall............. The guy in the image went on to tell us ( in broken English) he had created the poster himself, from photo's he had taken all over the world and was inspired by the song "Hotel California" by The Eagles, himself being in the centre of the image............... It really is a very clever piece of artwork and we could buy one for three Euro's. Bargain! Purchase made I asked him if I could take his picture and was very pleased to pose for me. I got the impression he was doing the stall for something to do rather than the money but we did notice the following week that as Ibiza was getting much busier the poster had increased to four Euro's............................... Still way under priced mind, cant wait to get it framed.
So this is the inspiration for the title of today's upload, I am sure you are all familiar with the song.

Yes,one of my favourite songs Diane,
and the Eagles are still going strong today.
(But a little bit older of course !!)
Good shot.
(And I recall a holiday we had in Italy.Went to the Isle of Capri on a day trip and it BUCKETED down with rain. There were guys selling nothing more than sheets of polythene to put over our heads. They cost about 1000 lira (about 50p) to start with, and went up in price by another 1000 lira every five minutes !!
The guide took us into a cafe for some shelter(found out later it was his brother-in-laws place)and charged us a fortune for coffee and a stale Italian bun.He got his guitar out and started playing some music (very badly I may add.)When he finished and came round the tables with a biscuit tin to put our ''donations'' in,my wife caught my arm just in time before I cracked his jaw !!)

Quote: A wonderful portrait, Diane, and a great story. He looks a very kindly sort of guy. Carol
Yes he was, I got two shots of him, the second one he was smiling with a perfect set of white teeth, very calm pleasant man and he was so pleased I loved his poster![]()
