.... something beginning with 'S'. Spooks - No, I can't see any either! But I'm sure they're watching me.
Especially after someone tried to take out this building in Sept 2000 with a Russian-built RPG22 anti-tank missile.

The building, of course, is the MI6 Headquarters aka Legoland aka Babylon-on-Thames due to its resemblance to an ancient Babylonian ziggurat. It was built on the site of a glass factory, vinegar works and a gin distillery which probably accounts for the occupants fragile, sour and often pickled disposition.

MI (Military Intelligence) sections 1 - 4 and 7 - 19 became defunct (allegedly) along with the War Office.
MI5 became a successful TV series called Spooks and MI6.... well, it has some lovely views of the Thames.

Taken about 10minutes after my previous image, Iso400, f11, 1.3secs, 14mm, tripod and remote.

A big thanks to Carol (Humblebee), Stephen (NewDay) and Lin (Sweetpea62) for their UAs and all the kind comments by you folk on Knight On The Town. Very appreciated.

Lovely skyline again and not a typical London one. You've caught the detail and held the highlights really well. I might be tempted by a more panoramic crop to lose the expanse of shingle as I think the light reflections very effectively pull your eye across the water in concert with the bridge. Did you shoot one from this side (of the bridge) closer to the bridge?

Beautifully taken, wonderful light.. Great work. Is it later than the last one? Looks a bit darker..You know a lot about MI6, MI5...and studied Russian missiles..mind you, you will find out that you are not only watched by MI6&5, but also the Russians as well nowGrin..Have a double check in and out your house..they know where you liveGrinGrin I have never watched Spooks.. but I was fascinated by the stories that I read when I was at school.. Some years ago, I remembered that BBC made a programme about what kind of work spy does and what kind of people can be spy. I guess that was after London bombing, it's a kind of way to help the service to open up and recruit members. They selected some people from public, and tested them. I remembered that only one or two left at the end.. They gave a test questions at the end.. I was really interested in the tests and tried Grin.. but one has to be mad wants to be a spy nowadays..Grin
