The number on the casserole dish reminded me of what it was like when people first began to get their heads around ordering a Chinese take-away !!! Everything by numbers.
The question today is - if you ordered Number 19, what would you get? There are some clues in the picture

It's obviously hot, judging by the condensation, so it isn't some form of salad, which it looks like! It's so long since I went to a Chinese take-away, the menu has probably completely changed. Carol

Haven't got a clue what it is but the condensation bubbles make an interesting pattern.

I love Chinese food, sesame chicken and General Tsao's chicken being my favorites.
This looks like it might be a stir fry dish using red peppers and celery.

Will go for a vegetable stir fry Helen.
And when I got married in 1975,casserole dishes must have been a popular present. We got 17 !! Not like today when you can ask for a fitted kitchen from the list you get !!

I was going for a vege stir fry too, but how about veg chow mein? had a look at our locals menu; a number 19 is chicken and mushroom soup! Love the droplets and that blue curve.

I expect carrots are in there somewhere. There are always carrots. Smile

I remember my very first takeaway. It was in fact a chinese meal and my then new boyfriend said he'd order for me. We had something called "C". For years and years I thought C was a strange oriental dish!! I was a rather naive teenager.
