The number on the casserole dish reminded me of what it was like when people first began to get their heads around ordering a Chinese take-away !!! Everything by numbers.
The question today is - if you ordered Number 19, what would you get? There are some clues in the picture

Moira
Hi Helen, numbers rule OK! Lol ~ Well on our menu, #19 is Sweet and Sour Chicken, but your image looks a bit veggie. So havn't got a clue.

On a Chinese menu, Moira??!? ![]()
The veggie option. Sweet & sour condensation!!
Like it Dave - and it IS veggie - sweet and sour condensation is probably quite a cheap option !!!
Thanks Barbara and Dave for looking and leaving a comment
So have you gone through all 17 yet Mick?
Well this is number 19, so you can see I had 2 more !!!!
Indeed Pat - everyone getting out their Chinese take-away menu's to see what Number 19 is - I haven't a clue what mine is - I only took the picture!!!!
I'd guess at vegetables, looks like green beans and carrots to me. Makes a great pattern pic, Helen.

Getting very warm Trev - and the colours are almost there
I like the way you have captured the detail in the condensation
I expect carrots are in there somewhere. There are always carrots.
I remember my very first takeaway. It was in fact a chinese meal and my then new boyfriend said he'd order for me. We had something called "C". For years and years I thought C was a strange oriental dish!! I was a rather naive teenager.
Chris
Sorry Chris - NO carrots. Not really sure of the merits of my picture but has certainly evoked some interesting memories
Thanks Gary, Di and Francesco - all will be revealed - in the morning !!
Stir fried noodles with vegies?
Very interesting abstract,
Johanna
No carrots Mavis - it was in fact green peppers and tomatoes
