Loch Morlich, looking south east towards the ski slopes. The fringes of the loch were freezing in the colder temperatures of the previous couple of days. The wind was stirring up the surface of the water, breaking up the thin ice and gathering it near the shore.

Another cold winter scene from the Loch, the ice pattern drawing the eye over the surface to the far shore and snow dusted mountains.
The long shutter speed has smoothed both water and clouds.
As always, your composition is spot on and the cold once again just seeps out of the screen.
Ronnie.

Your trademark 'portrait' landscape with strong lead in, cool tones and long-exposure smooth clouds. The warm browns of the foreground shingle contrast very well. Nicely done, Al.

Living on a lake, I have found how amazingly beautiful the ice can be. It changes daily.
Your composition of this is wonderfully dynamic.

A beautiful scene Alan, expertly composed and I like the steely blue tones with a patch of warmer tones in the fg from the stones under the ice
