New Year's Day was glorious and I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't been in the early stages of the lurgy.....everything was white and icy and there were lots of people out: I really wanted someone with a red coat to put in an appearance to create the classic bright colour against the white. No such luck.
Anyway, my eyes were obviously not working too well either because I think I got the focus and DOF all wrong, but I was shooting completely manually this time and had far too many other things to think about, such as exposing taking all that whiteness into account, and the fact that my head was hurting. Anyway, here is the B+W version, the colour one being V2. V3 is a tighter crop. Also, for good measure, V4 is the line of trees that I just wasn't tall enough to capture over the hedge in the ideal spot a few metres down the road, in the field I wanted the red coat to appear in. Ah well. Tweaked a bit in curves and things.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to wish all EPZers a great 2009 and to thank everyone for their support and inspiration, either via my PF or their own.
To anyone whose year perhaps holds challenges and obstacles, may you overcome them.
Finally, I apologise in advance if I click and run more this year than before. I am in my final year of a Masters and should be writing my dissertation as well as keeping my head above water work-wise - not, as I know from bitter experience is quite likely, allowing myself to get distracted to this rather wonderful site!
Take care all

Thanks Bryan and Melissa.
It took me a while to get all three versions up because EPZ has been playing up now for some time - very so often it just won't load! I'd originally popped back to try and sort out the frame I've put on: not sure what went wrong there. But I just haven't got the patience now to re-do it after all that hassle...... ![]()
A great set of images Carole V2 and V4 for me, lovely use of DOF.
