I took this photo in July 2001, the only time I saw these iconic towers. What a tradegy to unfold a mere two months later. I can never understand this and each time I look at this photo I think of Robert Burns words
"Many and sharp the num'rous ills
Inwoven with our frame!
More pointed still we make ourselves
Regret, remorse, and shame!
And man, whose heav'n-erected face
The smiles of love adorn, -
Man's inhumanity to man
Makes countless thousands mourn!"
