One more of Carla in the woods at Coniston, hope you like it.

Had a good day with Kai at Oulton Park yesterday despite the weather and the lens we hired for Kai's birthday packing up half way through the first race. Off to look through the images now so you may see one or two of them over the next few days.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Darren.

Thanks Ed. It would have been good to meet up, we should have planned it better. I must say Kai was gutted and I'm none to pleased myself, phoned the hire company today and they want to see the lens before they'll consider a refund. Despite this and the weather we still enjoyed our day and a KFC on the way home helped as well Grin

Sorry I missed this Darren, like the lighting on the face, but for me there are a couple of points to look at next time.
The hand position is one area that is not working they don't seem to be part of her (positioning hand is always a challenge) and seem to draw the eye once seen away from the face.
Secondly the skin colour by the the legs and hands is way off, for some reason it seem to have a very red hue.
For me a crop in from the bottom to take that area out would help. I would also tone down the light on the leaf in the foreground.
Regards Richard

Thanks for the comments all.

Richard, all very good points and I'll try to take them on board next time thanks for taking the time to point them out. I spotted the hands but not until I was back home at the PC, I guess with everything else to worry about (lights blowing over for one!) it's easy to miss the little things that make a big difference. It's good to see that even you think positioning hands isn't easy.

Cheers.

Darren.
