this is much better and shows your equipment is capable of good focussing, the composition of the shot is suffering from too much going on in the foreground and background , cropping in to feature the bird more prominently could help
As pulsar69 says, the focus in this on the bit that needs it.
I'd crop this into a landscape, using the whole of the nest as a template for the edges.
It won't remove all of the foreground, you'll still have two of the out of focus branches in it but they'll (hopefully) give an impression of depth.
Just my opinion.
