White Headed Vulture.
This magnificent bird was captured during a flying demonstration at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, Weyhill nr Andover. Not everyones favourite birds but they do perform a very valuable service in the wild by eating the corpse of dead animals. This bird, of course, is a captive resident of the Trust and here he was just coming in to the handler.
Hope you will like him.
Much appreciate all the generous c/c's for the Junior Robin and particular thanks to Peter (Lex Equine) for the UA.
Apologise for just votes at present (few comments) but rather pushed for time.
Ron

Whilst not in complete disagreement with the above, i would be interested to hear as to why the +2/3 was chosen ?
Also, my better-half, who has a better eye for these things, queries the apparent cloning to the left of the image.
Excellent shape and position in the frame, Ron. Very dynamic and I hadn't spotted the cloning either ![]()

My god Ron, I know how difficult these are to get in flight/landing this is a bit of clever photography - well done
So well timed Ron, lovely detail and a superb head/eye,
Geoff.
A fantastic shot of this ugly looking bird coming in to land, you've timed this one to perfection
Brilliant shot. Of braking and landing understand. Amazing.
Regards, Oleg
