Tried all summer to get a decent pic of the Buzzards...still trying.
Put it on small as it shows how rubbish it is large.

Not rubbish! Carol
Good effort, i know how hard it is, being shooting flying Buzzards all summer without success.
great stunning detailed capture
you have some good detail in the wings so whats the grumble? its not a silhouette be thankful for small mercies

I love the logic there Keith!
Actually, it's not rubbish at all.
I've just opened it in Photoshop and made a slight "levels" adjustment, bringing the sliders friom both ends inwards until they just touch the ends of the histogram, that's taken care of the exposure and contrast, then added just a touch of sharpening using the USM.
And that's it. I used CS5 but those tools are extremely basic and will appear in any worthwhile editor.
Edit: And as usual, the mod. looks nothing like the version I have here. The levels adjustments have become overcooked and all of the sharpening has been removed.
I've tried again.
It's still not right but you'll get the idea.
Great attempt...... Counted six over the Bittel in the summer..
