V1 has those greenish tones in the underside again... But V2 is the image for me, all about power and menace. I would try to get rid of the lines in the background though.

Superb action shots again, John, the detail captured so good considering the rate of knots they can shift at: I see you have posted V 3, possibly in response to Moira's comment (?) and the removal of the b/g lines does enhance the image.
I am torn between the coloured and B and W shots today, so 1/2 vote to each.

Yes V3 works much better. There's still a light strip along the top on the left, I'm nit-picky... Get rid of that and it's ready for its own upload!

V3 for the mono but love the intense eyes in V1. I might have removed the b/w from the eyes in V3 for another version. Owls stunning eyes are so important to me. So my favorite is V1, like the bit of blur in the wings too.......Sandy

I go for V3 too. The owl stand out so well against the background and the inclusion of the rock makes it look like a 3D image. Excellent work!
