So I just had to stop for this lovely lotus, growing in the ditch near a palm plantation.
V2 is a rather large hopper, admiring a budding lotus as much as I do.

What a beauty, so glad you stopped, that centre is amazing.
Ohhh...now that's a great shot of that beautiful lotus (I LOVE loti and have always found them very photogenic too), Annette. Good capture of that large grasshopper too. I haven't seen one in ages. We used to get 'em every now and then when I was a kid. We always called 'em locusts 'cos of their size. I just Googled 'locust' and found out that it's a swarming phase of a type of grasshopper! You've made me learn something new ![]()
