For those of you who have followed the images of the Wedding Cake House, here are some shots of the "living quarters". The gentleman who owns the house also lives there part of the year. These shots are of some of the rooms he has converted for private use. He opens the entire house for the tour, not just the historical rooms. The proceeds go to the local food pantry.

Fascinating interior captures, Joline, and some very beautiful things in the house, too. I love the shape and design of the two table lamps in V.2, is portmerion pottery? Carol

Fascinating. I visit Alnwick Castle sometimes for community events, it's open to the public but also home to the Duke of Northumberland and his family. So there's a similar mix of careful historical exhibition and modern personal effects. This gives an insight into two separate lives.

Now that bathtub is one you can stretch out in - my mother still has one of these old claw-foot tubs and it's wonderful to be able to sink down in the warm water, with oodles of bubbles Smile

We never did go into the house when we were there - so I'm happy to be seeing these now.

This set is quite delightful, Joline. The sometimes whimsical detail and decorations are beautifully observed, and I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face Grin

This is a bit like my late Mother in laws house interior, almost uncanny even to the paintings like it regards leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

What a bizarre mix of trouser press (is that what it is?) and bath so unsafely next to each other in image #1. I hope I'm wrong... the health and safety people would have something to say! Otherwise the images are a lovely insight Joline!

A wonderful bath and I'm assuming the trouser press is close by to steam press the pants!
I'd say the towel is the gentleman's choice but the pictures and boots were there originally?

A beautiful set of images Joline, and what a wonderful home to live in, plus the owner appears to have a nice sense of humour as well - they will have to share my vote ... Carol
