managed to get a day on Skomer island yesterday and got some much needed practice in.
Light levels were low at times which made it difficult to keep constant camera settings, maybe auto ISO is the way to go, I'll have to get the manual out to see how to do that.
I'm off there again tomorrow :o)
Very nice capture.........
a fine in flight shot. Can't see enough of these.
A fantastic capture Geoffrey.
Great in flight photo Geoffrey
You've captured those wings perfectly. There's a photographer over on birdforum who swears by auto ISO, perhaps I'll explore that method too.
Air brakes on !!! landing gear down, excellent Geoff.
Thanks for the HC Pete
Nicely captured Geoff, were the Swallows still landing around the toilet block?
Hey its still a good capture, can't wait will be there myself on the 16th june!!
Yes Gerwyn, there were a lot of them there all day long, when we were waiting up at the shop for tickets they were even mating on that post but light was low that early in the day. They were even on the post when we came off the boat but we had to rush home.
What a great shot well done
A classic inflight capture Geoff, would love to visit Skomer one day
Superb capture, Geoff. I was there 10 days before this shot and failed to get one like this. I achieved plenty of sharp Puffin bums flying away from me but no incomers. Respect.
