The photo was taken inside of the church of St Mary in Stamford. I couldn't make up my mind up if I should bring the ceiling out.. it was beautifullly painted, but this is what I saw. If brightened up the ceiling, I would lose the "3D" feeling of the image, so I decided to leave it as it was .

I think you did the right thing allowing the cross to stand on it's own, Jasmine, and as you say with the light catching on it like this, there is a definite 3D effect.

Beautiful light and shadow, and the curved lines in the roof make such a good backcloth. I think you've got it just right, Jasmine.

Wonderful capture, Jasmine. Good comp and detail - all beautifully lit. Like the heavenly roof too, which looks like a long exposure of moving stars.
