Nice one Keith....
We had them at Elvington Saturday afternoon, weather at minimum height for these guys, started to rain as they departed. Typical.
Keith....
Erm Wow! Been quite a few of the arrows lately but I have to say this is the best yet. I do like your processing on this, theres no denying. Fantastic.
Simon
Had I looked through this mornings recent uploads before I loaded my picture up for the day I would certainly not have uploaded a stock red arrows shot as it pales significantly against this one.
The way the light is hitting the smoke in this is stunning. A great shot.
Wow! What a shot! Beautiful. The Red Arrows themselves might like to see this shot! Very well caught!
It pains me to say it but it's outstanding. AN absolute corker of a shot ... ![]()

Having also attended the display on Friday, out of interest I trawled through numerous excellent Red Arrows images that have been posted on Ephotozine over the years but didn't IMHO see anything quite as good and atmospheric as this.
Excellent shot.
Instead of getting sore elbows you should have hopped over the fence on the cliff top, you get all the room in the world then. ![]()
Justin.
Wow, right place is everything here. Superb composition and looks different to any other Red Arrows shot I've ever seen.
Superb image congratulaions on the EC Keith.
There is something really atmospheric and special about the colour of the sky and the way that the light has caught the aircraft.
Jon
aye - impressive.
crop the right a little maybe?
Excellent image Keith, this certainly deserves the EC award.
All the very best
Dougie
Very well captured Keith.
Well done and congratulations on the EC.
Geoff.
I love the Red Arrows but I've seldom seen them captured so well. Congrats on the well deserved EC
Have you sold it to them? Almost makes you want to go and see one of their displays.
The Red Arrows seem to be doing alot of displays this year. However I have never seen them photographed like this before.
I don't know weather you were directed to the optimum spot by someone in the know, or if it was just karma (or maybe the Red Arrows picked the tallest person in crowd as a point of reference) - but this is stunning stuff all the same.
Perhaps just a crop from the right to center the planes?
My daughter thinks this is fantastic........I have to agree......... she thinks it doesnt look real and is really really good ...she likes it ;o) High praise.........shes a teen ;o)
Yep, you nailed it! I can't imagine it being any better.
Patrick
amazing - who would have thought planes could be so ... riviting!
Just picking my jaw up off my keyboard. Have to say there's a lot of tired old stuff being regurgitated on ePz these days but this is a different class. As above one of the best images I have had the pleasure of viewing in a long long time, absolutely outstanding, your a talented fella.
Excellent, great timing and wonderful light across the smoke trails.
