You've all been enjoying doing mods of these storm images so here's today's offerings (2 versions). My thanks to all for vs & cs and especially to digital-boi, Eric the Viking, Whiterise1, Bigry1, Whatriveristhis and banehawi for all the amazing mods. Just goes to show we should never rest on out laurels, when we see how our efforts can be improved.

Certainly captured the mood well here Kate, the sepia is a good idea but just prefer V2

Also prefer V2 Kate...I am useless at processing, haven't got a clue about it, so how I shoot it is how I upload it. So I am learning a lot from your images and mods....a great shot

A high contrast image with good highlights and deep shadows, and with lovely patterns on the shoreline from the breaking waves.
I do prefer the original V 2, Kate, but have to admit the sepia version is quite eye catching.

I think the sepia toning in V1 adds more contrast and drama and is my fave. today. Grin

I am in the v2 camp. It could be lightened slightly as in digiatboi's example, but I like the curve of the waves and that deliciously menacing sky which is lost in the sepia version.

Go for the colder look of V2 Kate.
(And a favourite comment from judges at our club regarding sepia toned prints is that it is ''too much''.For some reason they prefer to see sepia prints in a more subtle manner !!)

I don't like the sepia version, Kate, I feel the toning is far too heavy.
But I do like V2, and as far as I'm concerned all it needs is a bit less of the sky, which isn't very interesting and draws the eye away from what is.
Highlights and shadows are both clipped, but I don't think that matters particularly, it's a strong enough image to survive that.
So on balance...Nice one! Smile

Whilst I love the sepia toned image, it is the natural image that really takes my breath away. Beautifully composed, exposed, processed and presented Kate.

V2 for me by a mile. I think that the sepia toning in V1 is too brash. Can't resist, mods underway!

Hard to choose a fave here Kate - V1 is different - offering more drama - whilst V2 has all the original qualities and moodiness of the scene. Smile

I like the atmosphere in V1 but the sky is a little noisy which sometimes happens when converting images to a more mono effect.
V2 is my favourite, you have processed it well without over doing it and your version is as good as any of the other mods IMOWinkGrin
