If you think you've seen this field before, you're quite right.
My friend Jim (Canonfan) uploaded it recently.
Another member uploaded in recently in mono and now it's my turn.
I guess we photographers often recognise what we hope will be a good image.
So perhaps it's no surprise that at least three EPZ members spotted this
field and goodness knows how many more people.
Hope you like my version.
Thank you for votes, comments and advice on "Heather & Harebell".
Kate

Maybe it is my background (my grandfather was a farmer and used to take me to ploughing matches) So a well ploughed field with straight furrows (dreels in my part of Scotland) holds my attention. This one with the lines staying true right past the tree is a pleasure to look at.

Excellent POV.

These parallel rows of furrows carry the eye in to the tree placed in the classic position within the frame: very nicely done, Kate.

You done a great shot here Kate. Its better than the one I produced. Taken on different days and different weather conditions Magilligan in the north is clearly seen.I like your position of the tree. All in all a great image

Conventional but beautifully done, with a great sense of perspective and the tree well-placed. I like the rich soil colour too.

Excellent perspective, Kate. The furrows are almost mesmeric.

Is that why the 'Irish' eat a lot of spuds (I am told) because the fields are big like this????
This has great impact for sure…….

Very good framing and the lower lighting shows up the furrows and produces a good shadow of the tree. Paul

Quality ploughing and photo to match !
Really lovely. Well done.

B.

wonderful Kate , Very strong lead in lines which is very important with a composition like this , Kate try copying the image and crop the sky and landscape in the background , You end up with a much more powerful composition i dont think this image needs the sky or landscape just be careful not to crop too much off as it is pretty close to the edge but it makes for a cracking image ...
