Experiencing a sunrise at Mesa Arch is a magical, but trying to photograph it is challenging. Despite arriving a good hour and a half prior to the sun rising you have to contend with a lot of other photographers all wanting prime position, luckily we were at the arch first. However, by the time the above image was taken there must have been at least 12 photographers lined up with tripod legs intermingling and shoulders interlocking. A really great experience for everyone who was there at that moment and I think everyone walked away with images that make this location so special.
