I've been looking at these 2 all day.... nearly finished their book now though, phew
2 lights on this
A really good shot. I bet they'll be delighted with the results.
The thumb stood out, and the image does too, for the quality of the lighting and beautiful framing/composition. Very good wedding photography.
I like the backlighting.
You've obviously been following all the advice on the Freelance thread. Nice.

.......no, must have missed that
if you look at yesterday's upload, that was a practice shot for the wedding

I could tell.
Really great shot with super lighting. If I can be really really really picky though I'd be inclined to sort out the end her train that's caught on the leaf, sorry!

what you don't see here is the panic on the groom's face...
he'd just stood in a huge dog turd and was totally shitting himself thinking he'd stood on her dress... that had not happend.
quite like the dress up where it is - it's a natural scene, nature's never perfectly ordered really
A stunning wedding portrait........Sandy
Oh I thought the look of panic was that of a man thinking OMG I've just got married lol
Very competent Ade.....Loved the story about the dog turd
very nice, like the rim lighting effect
Very, very nice.....as you know
Great shot Ade & beautifully lit. Call me Mr Old-fashioned but in my day the groom always stood on the right of the bride. I suppose it's all much less formal these days. Did I ever tell you about the time.......................Oh bugger, I've forgotten.
you're probably right, I just get them comfortable (even with dog **** involved) and get the shots - I think there used to be a formula, but I'm much more experimental/fun/quirky
a lot of it is based years of being a guest at weddings and everyone moaning about "the bloody photographer" - seriously, the photos were always seen as a long, drawn out, tedious waste of time.
I get people doing stupid things - they were all saying "prunes" in some of the shots, looks like they're all blowing me a kiss another one, all the hen party were doing the shoop shoop song...
so convention never reached me
Fine work Ade, lighting makes this.
That's a cracker Ade, they must really love this shot. Superb lighting, it works so well.
RC FROM ME
cheers all - much appreciated
Where are your lights in relation to you, Ade? Cracking shot, btw.
