Finally after 3 solid grey weeks the clouds broke this morning, after a fashion anyway. Loch Morlich, not much snow left on the Cairngorms now but there's more in the Nothern Corries than you can see here.
You can sense the improvement in the weather as this image is showing much warmer tones than many of your more recent postings: the big boulder (and grasses) make for an interesting f/g and the boulder itself almost echoes the shape of the central distant mountain.
Great - thoughtfully and well composed.
Lovely subdued image Al , nice FG (once again !) with a beautiful sky.
A lovely image this Al !!
Nice bit of light there Al and a colourful rock for the fg.
brilliant comp and tones Al a stunner top shot
Hi Al , I was thinking of you as I was driving through the Cairngorm area on the 26/27th and you're right the light was a little poor , love the sharp detail on the fg reeds and stone against the smoothness and calm of the rest of the image.Thank you for your UA on todays image it means a great deal
Glad to make it 40, Al!
Glad you managed to get out again!
An excellent composition, full of interest from bottom to top!
Very nice light creating a lovely mood here Alan. I like the sky and the way that the centrally placed rock 'anchors' the image.
Thanks Ronnie, Phil, Rod, Herman, Geoff, Andy, Jeremy, Richard and Derek
