Clematis Josephine in our back garden from last evening............I know an odd number is more appealing but this is the only shot I could manage this year.

Glad Deep in the Woods met with approval: thank you all for the kind comments posted.

Oh for goodness sake, you can't change nature to fit into man made (and I use the gender word deliberately) photography rules. This is what it is, a pair of beautiful flowers that you have captured brilliantly.

Excuse me while I go talk to the Calais Port Authority and instruct them to lay out the fishing boats, ferries and other vessels in threes and fives!!!

Wonderful clarity and colour, Ronnie. Skilled use of the flash without any washed out areas of colour. I like the little beads of water dotted around as well. I would have need a very large brolly for any nocturnal ramblings last night!!

fine work with the flash Ronnie something I'm not good with at all, you have retained all the natural colouring of the plant and nothing has been washed out by the flash the wee beads of water glistening in the flash add to the whole thing........ looks like you rattled Lynne's cage lol just sent you an email

A form of Clematis unknown to me and what a beauty! Glorious tones and details with the addition, - at the moment inevitable apparently! - of those water drops adding their own little sparkle to an already superb floral image.

When I moved to Norway, I bought mrs, salty a bunch of roses, not because I had a guilty conscience about anything, but just wanted to surprise her. She told me that I had bought a bunch with an even number, and that an odd number signified love...
Whatever, I thought, roses are roses, they signify love no matter what the number...hey hoSmile

Looks as if you sneaked up on these in the middle of the night, Ronnie...well done!

They are really beautiful.. I've been looking at your flowers for years...it made me feel shameful about my garden, I decided to give it a quick fix this year Grin, it's been neglected for too long, because I always get hay fever when the gardening time started. I'd bought several dahlias , the stronger ones, they are easy to look after, I'll see if they will come out beautifully or not...maybe I can try a few photos.Smile
