Fenwick Lawson's wonderful sculpture of the monks of Lindisfarne, bearing the body of St Cuthbert into modern Durham City.
Thanks for looking,

Excellent in mono Moira.

The man reading the paper appears to be holding it really close to his eyes and another option for the title could be "should have gone to specsavers!"

You got excellent vision Moira, and well composed shot. It worked well with bg slightly out of focussed, and nicely converted mono too.

Yung

Very nicely composed.
I do find myself most interested in the chap reading the paper which is probably not your intention at all !

A wonderfully composed image, captured from a great point of view. Being from Northumberland one sadly tends to forget ones heritage, and it is not until such images are witnessed that one begins to re-kindle those wonderful memories.

The monochrome does something that the colour doesn't, but I did like the colour version and seeing it first always clouds the brain.
I hope this makes sense?

I remember the colour Moira,
and mono works well too !!
My club starts tonight and just printed up a couple of mono prints for it.
They seem to go down better than my colour ones.
Reckon there is still a feeling with these old timers there that mono is ''real'' photography !!

The original colour was a very good image (I won't reiterate my comments on it) but the mono takes it to the next level. Excellent. And a bonne fête from me if Trev's got it right.

Superbly composed Moira, it does look as though he is telling you not to take a photograph and is ushering you away!
