Went to capture the sunrise last week at the Quiraing, and as I was driving across the road from Uig the light was just behind The Prison and I could not resist a shot as I arrived and got out of the car. So I thought I would share it.. not the usual sort of shot from here I guess, but I have them on file too (to bore you with later heheh)

Smile

ps - just noticed the only other (unknown) photographer who dared get up at stoopid o'clock in my picture.... glad I missed him as even though discreet, he adds a sense of scale to the place.. can you see him?? Smile

Talking about inbuilt compasses, mine's swivelled through 180 degrees! I was thinking "sunset" at first. Tongue

The golden/blue/pink light glowing behind the jagged rocks is wonderful, conveying a real sense of the place. I can almost feel the chill morning air and smell the freshness.

As for the other photographer, is he about an inch-and-a-half in from the left border, just below the middle? I can't think he'd be short and unusually wide, perched on top of that rock in front of the sunrise. Wink

Thanks Alan, Patti, John and Doug Smile

LOL Doug - yes that's him. Well done you and Alan !Smile Sunrise was 0450 - and I was up at 0340 to get there in time... ouch! But glad the sun did rise there or I would have been waiting a while for that glow on the ridge looking the other way! Smile
