Wife threw some flowers an stuff from the garden and I tried a picture using my great big egg thing on top of the 430EX flash gun. I tried all round to lose the shadow but could not. Tried me bestus. Used my 'nifty-fifty' though and tis sharp.

I guess it was the f2.8 nifty ferhifty really. That is a scalpel sharp lens for sure!
I wouldn't be concerned about that shadow Mike.
It's pretty well diffused and not in any way distracting. If anything, it adds to the shot.
And yes, it is sharp isn't it?
