Here we have a parade of Pentax K Series cameras - the KM, KX and K2 (with 50mm f4 Macro attached) were released in 1975 and the K1000 arrived 12 months later. Heavy but superbly made and very well designed.

oh I can't help clicking on this parade! My trusty K1000 still rides in my bag and every once in awhile, when the batteries are dead in the digital, I dust it off and feed it some Velvia! With my Tamron 80-210 zoom on it the word "heft" springs to mind... And rugged! I dropped it off a mountain once and had to chase it for 100 meters...
