I agree about the right hand side being a bit distracting to the eye but the rest of the image is excellent indeed. Beautifully postioned in frame and a pin sharp kestrel on a great perch. Congrats on the HC

Thanks all.
It's funny I was playing with various compositions, the position of the kestrel and the slope of the tree meant I have tried a number of looks. I like this one because it was supposed to be peering through the tree to see the kestrel. Will post another later taken in portrait orientation and then another cropped.
I'm not a big fan of square crops and try to work with the 3x2 format as much as possible, it always seems an easy solution to use a square crop rather than to find a more pragmatic solution ![]()
