What a pin sharp, marvelous shot. You got a fair bit closer than I managed with my KF and the perch is lovely too.

First Class again
the KF simply jumps off the page and you have the colours exactly right
A magnificent shot of this beautiful little bird, this one is straight out of the top drawer
Bird on a stick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's all you get from camera club judges and jealous people !!!
I would like to see of their birds on sticks !!!!!!!!!!!!
The time, dedication and skill that one has to put in to get a shot like this is immense !!!!!!!!!
Rant over
Keith
excellent colour, detail and depth of field - Brian
Another beauty...........wish I could find one round my way............they are as illusive as a free council car park.............![]()

I have never yet met a camera club judge that has shown me one decent image of their own Keith !!
Aside from that there are certain issues they never take into consideration :
a) Some toggers have a disability or illness that prevents them from getting anything other than a bird on a stick !! Prefer to sit on a chair, because of health issues
b) Some toggers do not have the resources or never ending funds to travel far and wide for images that don't involve a " bird on a stick "
c) Some toggers, including myself are S**T scared of flying and prefer not to travel too far for anything other than a " bird on a stick "
Personally my aim with photography is more for detail in a subject, than that elusive perfect composition !!
Each to their own, the moaners will always moan and the judges will always have mediocre images on their hard drives............Well that's been in my experience mate ![]()
