The Parish church of saint John in Chester.

I went here with the intention of taking the standard church shot looking down the isle with the pews on each side and the large stain glass window at the far end of the church. This shot was just a quick "off tripod" shot while setting up the white balance.

As I am starting to build up my photography kit, I used my Canon 400D with kit lens 18mm - 55mm (which isn't the best ). Sigma 10-20 is already on my Christmas list for Santa.

In advance, Thank you for any Votes, comments or constructive criticism.

Gareth

Thanks Brian

Like you, I'm no big fan of selective colours but after the HDR conversion and playing with the contrast, the image looked a bit boring. So masked off the 3 flags and tweaked the red to give it that Xbox game cover feel (assassins creed). After all this place is riddled with Templar statues and symbols. I really want to go and spend the day just in the church taking pictures.

I like this one, nice balance, picking out the colours was a good move.
