Picture this....

It's August the 1st, sometime between 3 and 4pm. In London Bradley Wiggins is just about to win Gold in the Olympic Time Trials. Somewhere in Dorset, it's cold, wet and windy and there in the middle of a field, a Neolithic Henge surrounds a Medieval Church, that has a reputation for being haunted...

So silly me stops and get's his camera out for a grab shot! I have to say, even in daylight this place is spooky, I was alone and a little uncomfortable being there so this image is not of the best quality as it was a little rushed.

So, a good friend of mine Colin Grace (Elkiebrookes) and I are going to visit at sunset and take advantage of this wonderful location. At least I'll have some tangible company next time!

I'll look forward to your sunset image.
Looks an intriging place but as you know yourself,
it needs a bit if sky interest.

Looks eerie for sure. With semi closed eyes it looks a bit like the Egyptien sphinx.
Mind you, it might look tottaly different in the sun set... Interesting! IB

Haunted places are not the best for camera shake!!Tongue A bit central on the composition, Mark, but this has a lot of potential.... if you've got the nerve.

LOL--- Maybe take a big dog along, and before you go, look up some of the old methods for keeping witches at bay---herbs or some such!

Even this image scares me, wish I was coming along!

photography can be a bit lonely at times, and when returning from sunsets its always a little dark, i got spooked on my last trip out as there is a dark wood to walk through back to the car, good idea to take a friend along.

you've added to the isolation of this scene by useing the mono treatment.
nice one.
