The Kookaburra, alass not sitting in the old Gum tree. This one was taken down the Great Ocean Road, it can be a friendly bird at times, this is a wild one which was being hand fed. Tried to capture all the detail including its lovely colours. Enjoy

Great shot and a very interesting bird, what a massive head compared to its body.

Nicely captured with the hand for scale. Lovely bird, but damn noisy at 5 in the morning!! ![]()

Armed with meat you can get close to a Kookaburra...especially if it is one that hangs around residential areas.
