If you are ever in Iceland near Lake Myvatn then make sure you go up to the Krafla volcano. It is in one of the more active regions of Iceland at present. There is a walk of approximately 1km around the top in amongst the piles of lava and steaming vents. The couple in the picture are about 0.5km away in the steam and sulpher fumes. Well worth a visit. In the same area, bubbling mud pools and a geothermal power station
