Another indoors experiment with the dead head of this flower but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the plant, except that it begins with 'e'. Comments and criticisms are very welcome.
Ann
Thanks Dave - it is eryngium or sea holly. I deliberately kept the bottle like that - interesting to see who thinks it works and who doesn't.

Eryngium (sea holly) maybe. The flower head looks good but the jar looks to be lacking substance, Ann.
Dave
Eeee by gum, if you jabbed your finger on one of the leaves?
Love this one Ann, you'll no doubt get lots of comments about how to make it better, but for me I like it and I'd find space on the wall for it suitably framed.

The square crop, background and flower itself are superb, Ann. But I see what Dave means about the bottle.
Also - and this is me being nitpicky - I'd like the stem to be touching the bottom of the bottle and not just hanging around like that.
Sigh...men...just can't please 'em, huh?

I think you either needed stronger lines on the bottle or a softer/lighter look to the flower Ann. You have a very huge contradiction with the two as they are. Like the idea and think portrait mode would tighten the comp up here too.
Congrats on the GEA.![]()
