Lago di Mezzola, a lake a short distance north of the better known Como.
I love your photo, such a peaceful scene and beautiful calming blues.
Many thanks, Sue, for your very kind words.
Superb shot !!.....lovely balanced composition, with a nice cool serenity from the blue tones.....impressive !!
A lovely sense of tranquility....a beautiful image Ian
Many thanks, Keith and Martin.
(Is that my hero, Kris Kristofferson, in your avatar picture, Keith? Or do you look very like him?)
Cracking comp, the boat leads in beautifully and the cool palette works so well to enhance the tranquility.
Lovely image Ian!
Beautiful and serene image with excellent composition and wonderful cool tones.
Alan, Don and Nigel - very many thanks to you.
beautifully serene and love the tones
Serene is the word and the subtle nuances of blue throughout make it quite mesmerising.
Nostro Azzure, haha
Many thanks, Jeremy, Tim and Pablo.
Beautifully captured image. I love the cool tones and the use of the boat in the foreground. First class.
So beautiful and serene, love those blue tones and the reflections
very, very fine and enticing..
Tranquil is perhaps the best word to sum this up Ian. I can imagine this being so quiet when you shot it with, maybe, just the birdsong for company.
Beautifully blue, Ian.
Many thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.
And a big "thank you" to Alan for the award - it means a great deal.
I could sit and look at your image for hours Ian, surely the best photograph of the day at least.
Dougie, I'm so grateful to you for your kind words and award. Many thanks. Ian
A wonderfully tranquil scene Ian. Beautifully composed and the soft blue toning is superb.
Have another badge.
Lovely soft mood, Ian
Derek and Paul, Thank you both.
And, Derek, thank you so much for your award. It has made my day.
wonderful image, Ian. I am amazed that you're not using a prime lens on this shot!
The 24-105mm is my most used lens, yet I would not normally attempted this sort of shot with it! What's your opinion of it?
Many thanks for your kind comment.
I have never had any issues with the 24-105mm, which I feel is a versatile lens that's very suitable for my primary landscape purposes. I don't think it compares for sharpness with my 16-35mm, but all the same I never leave home without it!
Ian, what a fantastic presentation you have given us. The stillness is brought through with an outstanding tone. The little boat just pops right out the image. Top work......have to agree about the lens, some say its heavy and hard to work with but I have loved using it.
Lovely serene image. Brilliant colours and the detail in the reflected boat is amazing.
well composed shot and lovely blue tones.
Just popped up on Featured - too beautiful to ignore.
Lovely blue tones Ian, very nice work
