I can see from v5 that this farmer still puts bands on their tails when they are born - eventually the tail will drop off. Its an old fashioned practise to avoid the tails getting infested with maggots. Not seen so much these days
v4 is a very endearing capture SmileSmile

That's an interesting comment from Helen......I did not know banding of their tails was practises or why.
I feel these are the best sheep and lamb shots you have posted so far, Ed, and for me V 1 takes a lot of beating.

I think I like this set the most, Ed, because the inclusion of the adult with the young makes for a much nicer composition, and gives the family-group feeling to them, which is very pleasing. V5 is just beautiful, and V7 rates high on the cute factor, too.
