Beautiful photos Derek, I remember seeing flocks of these birds in the late 60s when we had a farm.

An exceedingly fine set of shots of this lapwing Derek, v2 being my favourite. There were huge flocks of these birds to be seen on the tack piece area of the reserve during the winter months
