Many thanks for the votes and comments on my last upload - very much appreciated - I am feeling a lot better now (until another bit falls off!!! LOL) - managed to venture out for a few hours down the seafront and managed to get a few shots. And I am not sure on these birds whether they are grey plovers, sanderlings or Knots in winter plumage - I am sure some one can ID them for me - I think they are sanderlings due to the dark legs but certainly not convinced.
1 - Lapwing
2 - Lapwing
3 - Turnstone
4 - Herring gulls
5 - Grey Plover, Sanderling, plover or knot?
6 - Grey Plover, Sanderling, plover or knot?
As always any constructive critique is welcomed as are any modifications

An excellent set, Ray, V.1 is superb, but I do like V.6 very much. Carol

Good to hear you managed out for a while, Ray, and you have managed to bag some fine bird shots.
Sorry I can't help confirm ID but many others will be able to.
Ronnie.

Great set of shots Ray. The lapwings are beautiful, but just love that little turnstone eating out of the shell. Am also very happy as managed to ID V5 as sanderling from my wee book - before I looked at the comments by folk who know Grin. Moira

A super set Ray! Glad you've managed to get out and see those little sanderlings! Difficult to choose which is my favourite - I'd have been proud to take any one of them!

A good set, Ray. I particularly like the ones of the sanderlings.
So glad to hear you're feeling better. I am envious that you have a sea front to venture out to.
