Another night of insomnia, hence the early upload Sad

Well here's one of our most common butterflies the Large White - Pieri brassicae (sometimes referred to as the Cabbage White). An often over looked species, I don't know why that is as I think up close they're quite beautiful. It might be because they can be notoriously difficult to capture because of they're flighty behaviour, but if you seek them while they're feeding rather than looking for a mate I think they can make the most stunning of shots......

Were of out in the morning down to the Somerset Levels in search of Dragonflies and more butterflies, so I'll catch up with everyone later, good hunting to everyone else going out in search of wildlife, regards for now.....Ade

A fabulous close up Ade, the detail, colours and clarity are first class. Glad to see this one on a dandelion and not on one of my cabbages!
