As I have no friends, I ahve to use statues to practice my photography on from time to time Smile

this part of a large sculpture in Lawnswood Cemetary in Leeds.

So...

70-200 on a tripod, 580EX on top triggering a 550EX in my hand.

Technique... .

Hold the cable release at arm's length, make sure the 2 flahes can talk.

click the shutter - run to the position you want to be in withing 2.5 seconds, flashes go off.

review shot... take it again and again and again till you're happy.

It's ace

you can actually go out and do stuff on a crappy day and get interesting results.

makes a change from shots at 17mm with 5 stops of grad and a foreground rock/moss/branch Wink

I hope no-one saw you flashing in the graveyard.
Not only is this a fine sculpture, but your technique has produced a fine image too. It's the running bit I liked.

You can get arrested for flashing in public places, worth the risk though with results like this.

Must get my eyes tested, I was sure that was a guitar in the thumbnail. Great shot, your lighting really pulls the statue out of its background.

Some book mark!!!!

It's not such a dead loss to do such grave photography.... At least the subject doesn't move, well, not all the time!!!!

Keith....

PS Oh, by the way, have a RC
